Lorna McNaughton, a scientist at LIC in Hamilton, New Zealand, will present a Special CGIL Seminar on Thursday, July 19th at 11:00 am in Room 141 of the Animal Nutrition Building.

Dr. Lorna McNaughton is a scientist at LIC in Hamilton, New Zealand.  Located in Hamilton, New Zealand, LIC is a dairy farmer-owned co-operative which empowers livestock farmers through the delivery of superior genetics and technology. Lorna started her career with a Ph.D. examining the reproductive performance of Holstein Friesians of New Zealand or Overseas genetic origin at DairyNZ. During her time at LIC she has worked on a range of projects from a large QTL discovery trial in the 2000s through to research into heifer growth, automated oestrus detection and once-a-day milking.   She particularly enjoys applied research and is currently working on a project measuring pasture from satellites.  Lorna and her husband own a herd of cows and she is the chief calf rearer and relief milker.

As usual, this seminar will be remotely available via Fuze. Please let me know if you require further instruction on how to connect to Fuze.

Have a great week!
