Dr. Kaitlin Wurtz will be presenting her research on aggression in group-housed pigs and potential solutions to this important animal welfare issue.  Dr. Wurtz is a research associate at Michigan State University where she works jointly with the Animal Behavior and Welfare Group and the Animal Breeding and Genetics group. Her ongoing research is assessing the current state of automated behavioral phenotyping using image analysis technology in order to improve the welfare of group-housed pigs. Dr.

Dr. Tatiane Chud; a CGIL post-doctoral fellow, will present a CGIL Seminar on Friday, November 23rd. The seminar will begin at 1:30 pm in room 141 of the Animal Science & Nutrition building.  

The Ph.D. Defence for Michael Ross has been scheduled for Thursday, November 22nd,  2018 @ 9:00 a.m. in Room 141, Animal Science & Nutrition Building.   Frédéric Fortin, M.Sc.; a Geneticist at the Centre d'expertise en production ovine du Québec (CEPOQ), will present a CGIL Seminar on Friday, November 2nd. The seminar will begin at 3:30 pm in room 030 of the Animal Science & Nutrition building.
