ABSc Graduate Student Council October Activity Challenge
Are you ready to get ACTIVE this October?? Well the ABSC GSC invites YOU to join us in a socially-distant Department Activity Challenge. This October join forces with your fellow Animal Biosciences peers, lab mates, faculty, and post docs to track YOUR TEAM'S active minutes. (Minimum team size of 3 and maximum team size of 10 participants)

Dr. Larry Milligan was a long-standing member of the University of Guelph community with roles as the Dean of Research, Vice-President (Research) and as a faculty member in the Department of Animal Biosciences (formerly the Department of Animal and Poultry Sciences).

New Graduate Student Orientation Website
The New Graduate Student Orientation website is now available. All incoming graduate students have been sent an invitation to view the website and join live chat sessions via Teams Live Events on September 8 at 9:30 AM, 10:30 AM and 11:30 AM.

Profs. share expertise on the Ontario Aquaculture and Science tour
Prof. Rich Moccia and new ABSc Assistant Prof. David Huyben were invited to participate in a 3 day meeting which included the Ontario Indigenous Aquaculture and Science tour. The event brought together farmers, federal and provincial government representatives and the two UG scientists to discus opportunities and science gaps needed to support the development of the indigenous fish farming sector in Ontario. The trip focussed on rainbow trout and whitefish culture, two important species to indigenous people's in the province.
