Audrey A.A. Martin has a degree in Biotechnology from the Université Lyon in France, and a B.Sc. in Animal Breeding from Université de Limoges, France. During her undergrad internship, she had the occasion to work on reproductive physiology in dairy cattle with Dr. Stephen Butler at the Teagasc Moorepark in Ireland. Then, she completed a M.Sc. in Genetics and Biodiversity at Wageningen University and Research, in the Netherlands. Audrey did her major master thesis focusing on the genetic parts of a mathematical model simulating the dairy cattle oestrous cycle under the supervision of Dr. Marinus te Pas and Dr. Henri Woelders. She joined CGIL for her minor master thesis to work on the Efficient Dairy Genome Project with Dr. Filippo Miglior and stayed on the project as a research associate.
